Clinical Focus
Diagnosis and Treatment of Tongue Cancer, Buccal Cancer, Gingival Cancer, Palate Cancer, Oropharyngeal Cancer, etc.
Microsurgery for defect after tumor resection
Reconstructive Surgery of Congenital Oral-maxillofacial Malformation such as Cleft Lip, Cleft Palate and Jaw Deformation;
Therapy of Maxillofacial Trauma;
Surgical Therapy of Parotid Cancer, Maxillary Tumor, Cervical Tumor.

 

Research Interests
Since 2005, Prof. Li Jinsong has focused on studying the functional role of non-coding RNA in oral cancer. He has developed an in-depth knowledge in the field of stomatology and won acknowledgments from his counterparts home and abroad.

 

Academic Achievements
Prof. Li Jinsong has been dedicated to the medical practice, education and research of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital since 1992. He has also furthered his studies at the Ninth People’s Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Massachusetts General Hospital, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. For the past five years, Prof. Li Jinsong has won 12 research grants totaling more than two million yuan, with two from the National Natural Science Foundation and 10 others from the Ministry of Education and Provincial Institutes. He has published more than 50 pieces of research papers as the first author or corresponding author. Seven of his papers have been included by SCI journals. In 2009, 2012 and 2013, he has published three high-impact papers in famous journals of Clinical Cancer Research, Oncogene and British Journal of Cancer.
